The Ústí-Chomutov agglomeration is a polycentric, highly urbanized metropolitan area, which includes 5 statutory cities (Děčín, Chomutov, Most, Teplice and Ústí nad Labem) and another 127 cities and municipalities in their functional hinterland.

The Ústí-Chomutov agglomeration was defined on the basis of a unified methodology of the Ministry for Regional Development, which used for example data from mobile network operators, commuting and residential suburbanization zones.
